Nat20 Roller explains some Dungeons & Dragons fifth edition rules so the dice tools are easier to use. Those explanations draw on the System Reference Document, not on closed product text. This page is the full credit for that material, and it states plainly that the site is independent.

System Reference Document 5.1

Rules references draw on the System Reference Document 5.1 by Wizards of the Coast LLC, available at dnd.wizards.com, licensed under CC BY 4.0.

The 5.1 document is the older public rules reference. It is the source we used first for common 5e ideas such as attack rolls, advantage and disadvantage, death saving throws, ability scores, hit dice and the standard polyhedral dice.

System Reference Document 5.2.1

This work includes material from the System Reference Document 5.2.1 (“SRD 5.2.1”) by Wizards of the Coast LLC, available at https://www.dndbeyond.com/srd. The SRD 5.2.1 is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode.

That paragraph matches the credit printed in the site footer. We keep both the 5.1 line and the 5.2.1 line so each document we draw on is named.

What this site uses from the SRD

Nat20 Roller uses the SRD as a rules reference for the dice tools, not as a reprint of the full document. In practice that means short explanations of things like:

We do not copy treasure tables, wild magic tables or other long lists onto this site. When a tool needs a percentile roll, you use the table in your own book or sheet and roll the number here.

Independence from Wizards of the Coast

Nat20 Roller is an independent fan tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast. Dungeons & Dragons, D&D, the SRD names and related trademarks belong to their owners. We use those names only to describe the rules the tools are built for.

The brand name of this site is Nat20 Roller. It does not include D&D or Dungeons & Dragons in the logo or the domain.
